NBA: San Antonio 86, Houston 80

SAN ANTONIO, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan compiled 19 points and nine rebounds Thursday night as San Antonio beat the Houston Rockets, 86-80.

Tony Parker had 17, Manu Ginobili added 15, and Robert Horry scored 16 points off the bench for the Spurs (7-2), who have won two in a row and five of six overall. Horry also had six boards and Parker threw in eight assists to overcome his six turnovers.

Tracy McGrady, who is slowly rounding into form after a recent bout with back spasms, ended with a game-high 27 points and 12 rebounds, Yao Ming had 19 points, and rookie Luther Head added 11 for the Rockets (3-5), which has lost two of its last three contests. The Rockets out-rebounded San Antonio, 40-35 and committed 16 turnovers to San Antonio's 12.

The Rockets out-scored the Spurs, 28-16, in the fourth quarter.

San Antonio has won 10 of its last 12 meetings against the Rockets.
