NHL: Detroit 5, Los Angeles 4 (OT)

DETROIT, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Robert Lang scored 1:39 into overtime Wednesday night as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Los Angeles Kings, 5-4.

Tomas Holmstrom scored twice, Steve Yzerman and Johan Franzen scored once, Pavel Datsyuk had one assist, Dan Cleary had two helpers, and goalie Manny Legace made 41 stops for the Red Wings (14-2-1), who have won two straight following a two-game slide.

Mike Cammalleri, Jeremy Roenick, Craig Conroy and Alexander Frolov all scored once, and goalie Jason LaBarbera made 34 saves for the Kings (10-5-1), who lost for the second time in three games.

Los Angeles went 1-for-6 on the power play, while the Red Wings went 0-for-4. The Kings outshot Detroit, 41-39.
