Snyder has a one-shot lead at Madison

MADISON, Miss., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Joey Snyder III carded a 7-under 65 Saturday to take the lead after 54 holes at the Southern Farm Bureau Classic in Madison, Miss.

Snyder, a PGA Tour rookie whose best finish this season was a sixth-place tie at the International in August, stands at 16-under-par 200. This is the first time the 32-year-old Snyder has held a lead after 54 holes on the tour. He has never been higher than seventh entering the final round.

Carl Pettersson, who won the Chrysler Championship last week, shot 7-under 65 on Saturday and shares fourth place at 14-under 202 with Kevin Stadler (66) and Tag Ridings (68).

Paul Gow (67) and Tom Byrum (68) stand at 12-under 204, good for seventh place, and a group of 11 players is knotted at 11-under-par 205. Nine players are tied at 10-under 206.
