NHL: San Jose 3, Nashville 2

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A shorthanded goal by Alyn McCauley's 1:44 into overtime lifted the San Jose Sharks to a 3-2 victory over the visiting Nashville Predators.

Marcel Goc and Patrick Marleau also scored goals for the Sharks, who have won four games in a row. Brad Stuart assisted on the game-winning goal, while goaltender Nolan Schaefer made 21 saves in the win.

Martin Erat and Paul Kariya scored for the Predators, who are winless in their last four games after starting the season 8


0. Kariya also had an assist. Chris Mason stopped 33-of-36 shots.
