Dilfer on hot seat in Cleveland

CLEVELAND, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Trent Dilfer's days as a starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns could be coming to an end.

"I think we are going to talk about it," head coach Romeo Crennel said. "We are going to see what we feel like we need to do to help this team. We'll discuss it and come out next week (in Houston). Hopefully, we will show improvement."

Dilfer was downright atrocious in his team's 13-10 loss to the Detroit Lions Sunday. He completed 10-of-19 passes for just 73 yards with three interceptions. He was also sacked four times.

"As a competitor, you can't wait for the next opportunity to go out and redeem yourself," Dilfer said.

Dilfer, who posted a dismal 22.4 passer rating against the Lions, has guided the team to just two offensive touchdowns over the last four weeks, and both of them came in a 38-second span late in the Browns' victory over the Chicago Bears Oct. 9.
