NEW YORK, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Jaromir Jagr scored his fourth goal of the season Thursday night to help the New Rangers beat New Jersey, 4-1.
Martin Straka added two assists, both Martin Rucinsky and Ville Nieminen added goals, and Henrik Lundqvist made 20 saves for the Rangers (2-1-2), who were only 1-of-9 on the power play, but out-shot the Devils, 23-21.

Brian Gionta had the lone goal and Martin Brodeur made 19 saves on 23 Rangers' shots for New Jersey (2-2-0), which went 0-for-4 on the one-man advantage.
The Rangers snapped a four-game losing streak to New Jersey.
