ST. LOUIS, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- St. Louis Rams Coach Mike Martz spent Friday hospitalized with a sinus infection but is expected to coach Sunday against the Giants at East Rutherford, N.J.

Both teams are 2-1.

"He's getting some antibiotics, and he's getting some rest," assistant coach Joe Vitt told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. "He's been feeling bad for a couple of weeks, and felt real bad (Friday) morning."

Martz, in his sixth season as Rams head coach, underwent back surgery earlier this year. He has compiled a 56-34 record, including the playoffs.

St. Louis has failed to make the post-season only one time under his guidance. The Rams reached Super Bowl XXXVI before losing to New England.

When Martz was the Rams' offensive coordinator in 1999, his high-powered offense was termed "The Greatest Show on Turf," and St. Louis won Super Bowl XXXIV.
