MLB: Texas 3, Seattle 2

SEATTLE, Sept. 28 (UPI) -- Esteban German's hit a run-scoring double in the in the top of the 11th inning, boosting the Texas Rangers to a 3-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

Mark Teixeira and Kevin Mench also knocked in runs for Texas.

Jose Lopez had a career-high four hits for Seattle and Jeremy Reed added an RBI for the Mariners, who have lost nine of their last 12 games.

Felix Hernandez pitched well for Seattle as he took a 2-1 lead into the ninth inning, but couldn't hold on for the victory. The 19-year-old right-hander pitched nine innings, allowing two runs on five hits, while striking out seven. Julio Mateo, 3-5, took the loss in two innings of relief.

Francisco Cordero recorded his 36th save of the year while John Wasdin, 3-2, picked up the win in relief.
