MLB: L.A. Angels, Tampa Bay 3

ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Steve Finley belted a three-run homer as the L.A. Angels of Anaheim moved closer to the AL West title with a 7-3 win over the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

Vladimir Guerrero added a solo home run as the Angels won their eighth straight contest and moved four games ahead of Oakland in the AL West with only eight contests remaining for both clubs.

Jarrod Washburn (8-8) won for the first time in more than a month. He allowed six hits and two runs over six innings for his first win since August 23 at Baltimore.

Doug Waechter (5-11) was touched for eight hits and six runs in six innings and lost his third consecutive decision.
