COL FB: BostonCol 16, Clemson 13 (OT)

CLEMSON, S.C., Sept. 24 (UPI) -- Brian Toal scored on a one-yard in overtime Saturday to carry the 25th-ranked Boston College Eagles to a 16-13 win over the Clemson Tigers.

Boston College (3-1, 1-1 ACC) quarterback Matt Ryan completed 24-of-42 passes for 221 yards with two interceptions. Andre Callender led the Eagles in rushing with 116 yards on 22 carries.

Clemson (2-2, 1-2) was led by Charlie Whitehurst who completed 19-of-28 passes for 149 yards.

After regulation ended with a 10-10 tie, Boston College drew first blood in overtime when Ryan Dean put Clemson ahead 13-10 with a 24-yard field goal, but the Tigers' defense could not hold the lead.
