MLB: L.A. Angels 7, Texas 4

ANAHEIM, Calif., Sept. 23 (UPI) -- Chone Figgins and Casey Kotchman each drove in two runs to pace the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim to a 7-4 win over Texas Thursday night.

Adam Kennedy went 3-for-4 with a key RBI single, and Bengie Molina homered as the Angels completed a three-game sweep of the Rangers and moved three games ahead of Oakland in the AL West with their sixth straight win.

Rookie Ervin Santana (10-8) threw six solid innings for the win.

Michael Young went 2-for-3 with an RBI to extend his hitting streak to 19 games for the Rangers, who entered the series having won five in a row.

The loss went to reliever Edison Volquez (0-4) when the Angels snapped a 3-3 tie in the sixth.
