MLB: Milwaukee 2, Colorado 0

DENVER, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Winning pitcher Chris Capuano hurled seven shutout innings Wednesday night and added a two-run single as Milwaukee blanked the Colorado Rockies, 2-0.

Capuano scattered six hits, did not walk a batter and struck out eight.

Dana Eveland, Jose Capellan and Derrick Turnbow combined on two innings to complete the shutout, with Turnbow registering his 26th save.

Capuano won for the first time since July 31.

Luis Gonzalez and Todd Helton each had two hits for the Rockies, who have dropped 6 of 7. Helton extended his hitting streak to 10 games.

Loser Jamey Wright sank to 6-14. He yielded two runs and three hits over seven innings with four walks and three strikeouts.
