MLB: San Francisco 3, Cincinnati 2

CINCINNATI, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Winning pitcher Noah Lowry hit a key RBI single Wednesday night to help San Francisco beat the Cincinnati Reds, 3-2.

J.T. Snow and Jason Ellison each had one RBI, Todd Linden had three hits and Randy Winn and Omar Vizquel each had two hits for the Giants, who have won three straight after a two-game skid.

Lowry rose to 9-11. He yielded just two runs and seven hits in 8 1/3 innings in his longest outing of the campaign. LaTroy Hawkins picked up his sixth save.

Austin Kearns and Griffey each had one RBI and Felipe Lopez had three hits for the Reds.

Losing pitcher Luke Hudson fell to 4-6. He gave up four hits and three runs in 4 2/3 innings with three walks and three strikeouts.
