Three-way tie at Western Open

LEMONT, Ill., June 30 (UPI) -- Jim Furyk shot a seven-under-par 64 Thursday to join Ben Curtis and Todd Fischer as co-leaders after one round of the Western Open at Lemont, Ill.

Inclement weather delayed the start of the tournament by an hour.

Defending champion Stephen Ames carded a one-under-par 70 to finish in a large group six shots off the lead.
