MLB: Detroit 7, Minnesota 2

MINNEAPOLIS, June 21 (UPI) -- Jeremy Bonderman pitched his first complete game of the season Tuesday night as the Detroit Tigers posted a 7-2 victory over the Minnesota Twins.

It was the third complete game of his career for Bonderman (9-4), who allowed five hits while striking out nine.

Placido Polanco had three hits, Ivan Rodriguez and Craig Monroe two each and Dmitri Young hit a three-run homer for the Tigers.

Kyle Lohse (5-6) was the losing pitcher as he gave up six earned runs on seven hits in 4 2/3 innings.
