BKP: San Antonio 97, Detroit 76

SAN ANTONIO, June 12 (UPI) -- Manu Ginobili had 27 points and seven assists Sunday as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Detroit Pistons, 97-76, for a two games to none lead in the NBA Finals.

Tim Duncan added 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs and Bruce Bowen, who was held scoreless in Game 1, hit four three-pointers and finished with 15 points.

San Antonio, which won the NBA title in 1999 and 2003, has now won 10 straight home games over the Pistons.

Antonio McDyess had 15 points and Richard Hamilton scored 14 for the losers.

The series shifts to Detroit for Game 3 Tuesday night.
