NEWPORT, Wales, June 5 (UPI) -- Spoaniard Miguel Angel Jimenez shot a 7-under 62 Sunday to win The Celtic Manor Wales Open by four strokes.
Jimenez wound up at 14-under 262 for his 13th career victory on the European Tour.
Martin Erlandsson had a 63 to share second with Jose Manuel Lara at 10-under 266. Jean-Francois Lucquin finished at 267.
Jimenez trailed third-round leader Alessandro Tadini by one stroke heading into the final round. Tadini, an Italian, shot 69 Sunday to finish six shots off the pace.
Tadini took the lead with a 62 on Friday and managed to hold onto the top spot heading into the final round despite a 75 on Saturday. He wound up tied with Joakim Haeggman and Ian Woosnam at 268.
David Lynn, who will defend his title next week at the KLM Open, tied for eighth place with Jose-Filipe Lima, Oliver Wilson and Wade Ormsby at 270.
