MLB: Arizona 12, San Diego 11

PHOENIX, May 26 (UPI) -- The Arizona Diamondbacks got homeruns from three players in a wild slugfest in which they edged the San Diego Padres 12-11 in Phoenix.

Tony Clark, Troy Glaus and Luis Terrero all popped homers, while Royce Clayton finished 3-for-5 with three runs batted in and two runs scored for the Diamondbacks. Craig Counsell added an RBI and scored twice.

Glaus' home run was his 13th of the year, which ties him for the NL lead with Adam Dunn of Cincinnati.

For the Padres, Khalil Greene posted four hits, two RBI and two runs scored, and Ramon Hernandez drove in three runs, extending his hitting streak to a career-high 12 games.

J ose Valverde (1-1), who tossed one frame and allowed a run on three hits, picked up the victory.
