SEATTLE, May 22 (UPI) -- The Seattle Mariners got a 5-3 victory Saturday night over the San Diego Padres in the second of a three-game series at Safeco Field in Seattle.
Richie Sexson went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI for the Mariners, while Adrian Beltre collected two hits, including a solo home run.

Gil Meche (4-2) allowed two runs and four hits while striking out four for Seattle. Eddie Guardado threw a 1-2-3 ninth to record his 11th save.
San Diego's Brian Lawrence (2-5) left after 6 1/3 innings and yielded five runs and eight hits.
Dave Roberts finished 2-for-4 with a two-run single for the Padres.
