MLB: Detroit 3, Arizona 2 (11 innings)

DETROIT, May 21 (UPI) -- Marcus Thames had an RBI single to cap a two-run rally in the bottom of the 11th Saturday as the Detroit Tigers posted a 3-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Ivan Rodriguez singled, doubled, tripled and scored two runs to help Detroit snap a two-game losing streak.

After Koyie Hill's base hit in the top of the 11th put Arizona up 2-1, Rodriguez opened the Tigers' half with a double against Diamondbacks closer Brian Bruney (0-2). An out later Rondell White doubled home Rodriguez home with the tying run.

Dmitri Young was intentionally walked and Bruney also walked Craig Monroe before Thames hit a deep drive over centerfielder Jose Cruz Jr.'s head.
