HOUSTON, May 18 (UPI) -- Troy Glaus had three hits Wednesday night, including a two-run homer, as Arizona fought off Houston, 7-6.
Arizona won for the sixth time in eight games with Russ Ortiz (4-2) getting the win in 5 1/3 innings of work. He gave up four runs on nine hits, after which Brian Bruney claimed the save.

Houston had a three-game winning streak halted.
Andy Pettitte (2-5) took the loss, surrendering seven runs on 11 hits in five innings. Houston loaded the bases with two out in the ninth, but Adam Everett lined out to end the game.
