MLB: Texas 9, Minnesota 6 (11 inn.)

MINNEAPOLIS, May 13 (UPI) -- Chad Allen's double that was misplayed by right fielder Jacque Jones drove in the go-ahead run in the 11th Friday night as Texas downed Minnesota, 9-6.

The Rangers added two more runs in the 11th when a sharply hit ball by Mark Teixeira glanced off the leg of reliever Joe Nathan for an infield single.

Texas rallied from a 6-2 deficit with the win going to Doug Brocail (3-0). Francisco Cordero worked the bottom of the 11th for the save.

Nathan (1-1) gave up his first earned runs of the year. He allowed a one-out single to Richard Hidalgo in the 11th. Allen then hit a liner that appeared headed for Jones in right, but he lost sight of the ball and had it skip past him.
