NEW YORK, May 9 (UPI) -- Tony Womack singled in a run in the bottom of the eighth Monday to give the New York Yankees a 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

New York's Randy Johnson (3-2) gave up three runs on seven hits in eight innings. He missed his last scheduled start because of stiffness in his left groin. Johnson struck pout seven and walked two as the Yankees won three straight for the first time this season.
