MLB: Texas 3, Oakland 2

OAKLAND, Calif., May 3 (UPI) -- David Dellucci hit a home run and Kenny Rogers pitched eight scoreless innings Monday to lead Texas to a 3-2 win over the Oakland Athletics.

Rogers (2-2) allowed four hits. Reliever Francisco Cordero gave up two runs on three walks and a Marco Scutaro single in the bottom of the ninth but ended up with his ninth save.

Rich Harden (2-1) pitched a complete game but took the loss. Harden yielded seven hits and struck out seven.

Hank Blalock drove in one Texas run with a double in the first inning and Dellucci homered in the third. Laynce Nix singled in the third run in the ninth.
