MLB: Houston 9, Chicago Cubs 3

HOUSTON, May 1 (UPI) -- Mike Lamb had a grand slam homer and five RBI Sunday as the Houston Astros used a seven-run fifth inning to defeat the Chicago Cubs, 9-3.

Adam Everett added a three-run homer for the other fifth inning runs.

Roy Oswalt (4-2), working five-plus innings for the win, gave up three runs on 10 hits. He was forced to leave the game in the sixth with a sprained right foot.

Mark Prior (3-1) got his first loss of the season after allowing eight runs on seven hits in five innings. He struck out seven.

Derrek Lee hit a two-run homer for Chicago.
