NBA: Washington 106, Charlotte 104

WASHINGTON, April 17 (UPI) -- Antawn Jamison scored in the final second Sunday to give the Washington Wizards a 106-104 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats.

Jamison wound up with 26 points and teammates Larry Hughes and Gilbert Arenas had 28 and 27 respectively to lead the Wizards to their third straight victory.

Washington is fifth in the NBA Eastern Conference and will play in the postseason for the first time since 1997. The Wizards lead sixth-place Indiana by 1 1/2 games and trail fourth-place Chicago by a game.

Charlotte's Emeka Okafor was out with a bruised thigh. Okafor has been the Bobcats' top player this season, averaging 15.2 points and 10.8 rebounds. Matt Carroll scored 22 points to lead the Bobcats.
