OAKLAND, Calif., April 16 (UPI) -- Nick Swisher scored on an an error in the 10th innings Saturday to give the Oakland Athletics a 1-0 victory over the Anaheim Angels.
Oakland's Rich Harden and Anaheim's Jarrod Washburn had staged an eight-inning scoreless duel. But Swisher led off the 10th with a single off Angels reliever Scot Shields and scored when Shields made a bad throw after fielding a Marco Scutaro bunt.

The win was the A's second in their last five games. The Angels fell to 3-2 in their last five.
Harden gave up four hits with two walks and eight strikeouts and Washburn also gave up four hits and a pair of walks with seven strikeouts. Both had trouble in the eighth, but pitched out of jams.
