BURLINGTON, Vt., March 12 (UPI) -- Taylor Coppenrath had 37 points and added nine rebounds Saturday as Vermont topped Northeastern, 80-57, in the America East title game.
The senior forward, playing for the last time at Patrick Gym in Burlington, Vt., also had four assists, three steals and two blocked shots.

The victory also was retiring Coach Tom Brennan's swan song at home.
The Catamounts (24-6), who led at halftime, 48-34, qualified for the NCAA Tournament with their third straight tournament championship.
Jose Juan Barea led Northeastern (21-9) with 14 points before suffering a knee injury midway through the second half.
