WASHINGTON, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Allen Ray scored 18 points Sunday to help No. 24 Villanova top Big East foe Georgetown, 67-56.
Ray was the leading scorer for the Wildcats despite hitting only five of 16 field goal attempts.
Villanova (19-6, 9-5 Big East) also had three other players in double figures, with Will Sheridan getting 14, Kyle Lowry 12, and Curtis Sumpter 11.
The Wildcats avenged a 66-64 loss to the Hoyas on Jan. 15 and extended their winning streak to five games.
Brandon Bowman led Georgetown with 22 points, the only Hoya to reach double figures in scoring.
Georgetown (16-9, 8-6 Big East) has lost three in a row.
