NBA: New Orleans 98, Washington 96

NEW ORLEANS, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- The New Orleans Hornets, who have had the worse record in the NBA for most of the season, picked up their third win in their last four games Monday night.

The Hornets beat the Washington Wizards, 98-96, when Dan Dickau scored a pair of free throws with 4.5 seconds remaining.

J.R. Smith had 18 points to lead the Hornets scoring. Chris Andersen and Bostjan Nachbar added 16 and 15 respectively.

The Wizards had the big scorers as Gilbert Arenas, with 34, and Antawn Jamison, with 30, combined for 64 points.
