NBA: Cleveland 114, Memphis 111

CLEVELAND, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- LeBron James scored 27 points Wednesday night and battled through a slight ankle injury as Cleveland held off Memphis, 114-111.

James came up one rebound short of achieving a triple-double.

He left the game early in the fourth quarter after twisting his ankle, but he missed less than five minutes of action.

Drew Gooden scored 27 points as well for the Cavaliers and Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 22.

Mike Miller scored 28 for Memphis, which had won six of its previous seven.

Memphis took a five-point lead in the third period, but a 15-0 surge by Cleveland put the Cavaliers in front for good.
