NFL: Indianapolis 51, Tennessee 24

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Peyton Manning threw for 425 yards and three touchdowns Sunday to lead the Indianapolis Colts to a 51-24 victory over the Tennessee Titans.

The Colts trailed 24-17 after the first quarter, but outscored the Titans 34-0 the rest of the way. It was the fifth straight win for Indianapolis (9-3).

Manning. who threw for six touchdowns on Thanksgiving against Detroit, has 44 TD passes this season, just four shy of the record of 48 set by Dan Marino in 1984.

Edgerrin James ran for 105 yards and two touchdowns.

The Titans had two interceptions, but Manning completed 25-of-33 passes.

Tennessee (4-8), which has lost two straight and three of its last four, played without last year's co-MVP in quarterback Steve McNair, who sat out with a chest injury.

Billy Volek, starting for the Titans, passed for 269 yards and three touchdowns. Chris Brown ran for 104 yards.
