MEMPHIS, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Pau Gasol produced a season-high 34 points Friday night and Memphis gave Mike Fratello a win in his coaching debut, 94-86 over Philadelphia.
Fratello, out of coaching for six seasons, was hired to take over the Grizzlies after Hubie Brown retired due to health reasons.

Memphis had lost five in a row. Mike Miller added 19 points and Shane Battier had 12.
Philadelphia lost its third straight game and has dropped six of eight. Allen Iverson paced the 76ers with 25 points and Marc Jackson had 17.
