EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki had 31 points, seven rebounds and seven assists Saturday afternoon as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the New Jersey Nets, 94-78.
Jerry Stackhouse added 28 points for Dallas, which improved to 6-1.
"I thought the key to the game was that Stackhouse came off the bench and was a dominant player," said Dallas Coach Don Nelson. "Not only did he score, but he moved the ball."
The game was tied with 7:36 left in the third quarter, before Dallas went on a 13-2 burst, with eight points from Stackhouse, to take a 66-55 lead.
