COL FB: Michigan 16, Purdue 14

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Garrett Rivas kicked a 35-yard field goal with 2:45 left Saturday to give No. 11 Michigan a 16-14 victory over No. 12 Purdue.

Freshman running back Michael Hart rushed for 206 yards on 33 carries for the Wolverines (7-1, 5-0), who have won six straight games since losing to Notre Dame on Sept. 11.

Chad Henne completed 22 of 39 passes for 190 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Michigan, which remained tied with Wisconsin atop the Big Ten standings.

Kyle Orton was only 14-of-30 for 213 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Boilermakers (5-2, 2-2), who have dropped two straight.
