MLB: Montreal 4, New York Mets 2

NEW YORK, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- Terrmel Sledge drove in a run with a double in the eighth inning Friday night as Montreal outlasted the New York Mets, 4-2.

Sledge went two for four with two RBI and Brian Schneider drove in two runs. The Expos won for the first time in six games.

Since they won their last game, the Expos found out they will have a new home next season.

With the game tied at 2-2, Montreal took the lead in the eight. Endy Chavez walked against Pedro Feliciano, after which Tyler Yates came on in relief.

Tony Batista promptly singled and Sledge doubled to center to score Chavez. Juan Rivera then walked and Brian Schneider singled to drive in the final run of the game.
