NFL: Denver 23, San Diego 13

DENVER, Sept. 26 (UPI) -- Jake Plummer hit on 25-of-36 passes for 294 yards and two touchdowns Sunday to lead the Denver Broncos to a 23-13 win over the San Diego Chargers.

The Broncos (2-1) running game never got going as Quentin Griffin had only seven yards on 12 rushes.

Denver's Jason Elam added three field goals.

Drew Brees rushed for San Diego's lone touchdown while connecting on 14 of 29 passess for only 121 yards. LaDainian Tomlinson picked up 60 yards on the ground on 22 carries for the Chargers (1-2).

Rookie kicker Nate Kaeding made a pair of field goals for San Diego, including a 51-yarder.
