Bears' safety suffers season-ending injury

GREEN BAY, Wis., Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Chicago Bears safety Mike Brown scored a touchdown on a 95-yard fumble recovery Sunday but later suffered a season-ending foot injury.

The Bears won (21-10) their first game against Green Bay since 2000 but were saddened by the fact that Brown ruptured his right Achilles' tendon late in the game. The fifth-year safety will undergo surgery this week and faces 6-7 months of rehabilitation.

"I'd trade this game right now to have Mike back," said linebacker Brian Urlacher. "Wins are great and all, but I'd trade it to have No. 30 back out there for our next game. It's a huge loss."
