NFL: Minnesota 35, Dallas 17

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Daunte Culpepper threw for 242 yards and five touchdowns Sunday as the Minnesota Vikings posted a 35-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys.

Culpepper completed 17-of-23, including two TD passes to Randy Moss. Onterrio Smith ran 15 times for 76 yards and caught a 63-yard touchdown pass. Marcus Robinson and Kelly Campbell also hauled in TD tosses for Minnesota (1-0).

Vinny Testaverde was 29-of-50 for 355 yards and a score for the Cowboys (0-1), who received 100-yard receiving efforts from both Keyshawn Johnson and Antonio Bryant.

Johnson grabbed nine passes for 111 yards in his Dallas debut, while Bryant compiled 112 yards on eight catches. Terry Glenn added five receptions for 84 yards and a touchdown.

In his first game with Dallas, Eddie George ran just eight times for 25 yards and did not get a carry in the second half.
