MLB: Oakland 1, Toronto 0

OAKLAND, Calif., July 20 (UPI) -- Damian Miller broke up a no-hit bid in the eighth and singled home the winning run in the 14th Tuesday as Oakland beat Toronto, 1-0.

Miller had three hits for the Athletics.

Rookie David Bush took a no-hitter into the eighth for Toronto, which has lost seven of its last eight.

The game was scoreless heading to the bottom of the 14th when Jermaine Dye led off with a single against loser Justin Speier (2-6). After a bunt, Erubiel Durazo was intentionally walked and Bobby Crosby walked to load the bases. Miller followed with a single through the left side of the drawn-in infield to score Dye with the winning run.

Justin Lehr (1-1) earned his first major league win with 2 2/3 innings of one-hit relief.

Oakland starter Rich Harden went 8 2/3 innings, allowing two hits with three walks and eight strikeouts.
