PITTSBURGH, June 20 (UPI) -- Ichiro Suzuki's RBI double sparked a three-run seventh inning Sunday as the Seattle Mariners rallied for a 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Randy Winn's run-scoring single lifted Seattle into a 2-2 tie, but Willie Bloomquist was thrown out at the plate on a fielder's choice. With two out, Suzuki ripped a double that drove in Winn with the go-ahead run. An error by center fielder Tike Redman enabled Jolbert Cabrera to score for a 4-2 lead.
Freddy Garcia (4-6) allowed two earned runs and six hits in six innings for the win -- the Mariners fourth straight.
Eddie Guardado worked around a walk and a hit in the ninth for his 14th save.
Pittsburgh wasted a solid outing by starter Oliver Perez (3-4), who gave up three runs, two hits and five walks and struck out nine in 6 1/3 innings.
