MLB: Kansas City 4, Montreal 2

KANSAS CITY, Mo., June 8 (UPI) -- Rokie Zack Greinke, in just his third major league start, allowed three hits in seven innings Tuesday to lead Kansas City past Montreal, 4-2.

Greinke (1-1) did not walk a batter and struck out five, lowering his ERA to 1.73. The righthander has gone seven innings in each of his starts, and surrendered a total of three runs.

Kansas City led 1-0, when Carlos Beltran snapped an 0-for-10 slide with a two-run homer to right off Montreal starter Tony Armas, Jr. in the third inning.

Armas (0-1) yielded three runs and four hits over five innings in his second start since returning from shoulder surgery.
