Bell (1-2), making only his third start since being called up from the minors on May 19, won his first game since last September by giving up only two runs on three hits.

McGriff, who was called up Friday, hit a 3-0 offering by Twins' starter Seth Greisinger (2-4) over the right field wall in the second inning to give Tampa a 2-0 lead.

Greisinger tied a season high by giving up five earned runs in 5 2/3 innings, including two home runs -- McGriff's and Tino Martinez's eighth of the year in the fourth.
