OAKLAND, Calif., March 7 (UPI) -- Jason Williams had 13 points and Shane Battier nine in the third period Sunday as Memphis erased a 12-point deficit to beat Golden State, 95-85.
Memphis limited Golden State to 39 percent shooting en route to moving 15 games above .500 (39-24) for the first time in franchise history. It has won 10 of its last 12 games.
Golden State held a 60-48 lead after a dunk by Jason Richardson three minutes into the third quarter, but Memphis countered with a 30-7 run before the Warriors scored the final basket of the period to pull within 78-69.
The Warriors shot just 4-of-19 and committed eight turnovers in the third quarter and got no closer than eight points in the fourth period.
The Warriors have lost five in a row.
