NBA: LA Lakers 98, Orlando 96

ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 8 (UPI) -- A three-point shot by Rick Fox and a key steal by Derek Fisher helped the Los Angeles lakers notch a come-from-behind 98-96 win Sunday over the Orlando Magic.

The Lakers had trailed by up to 18 points, rallied to go ahead and then fell behind again with less than two minutes to play.

Fox tied it at 96-96 with 22 seconds to go.

Fisher then stole the ball from Magic guard Rod Strickland and passed to Gary Payton for a layup that gave the Lakers the winning points.

Shaquille O'Neal had 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Lakers. Payton added 18 and Fisher 15.

Tracy McGrady led Orlando with 35 points.
