MONTREAL, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Viktor Kozlov scored with 72 seconds left in regulation but hit the goalpost in the final minute of overtime Saturday as Florida tied Montreal, 1-1.

During a delayed penalty, Florida was skating 6-on-4 when Kozlov roofed a bad-angle snap shot from the bottom of the left faceoff circle over a sliding Jose Theodore to tie it.

In the final minute of overtime, Panthers goaltender Roberto Luongo survived the loss of his stick and a mild flurry by the Canadiens before Kozlov nearly won it.

Kozlov beat defenseman Patrice Brisebois with a 1-on-1 move before ripping a backhander off Theodore's left pad and the right goalpost.

The Panthers, who are winless in three games (0-1-2), have lost just one of their last six (3-1-2).

Michael Ryder scored a power-play goal for the Canadiens, who

are winless in their last three home games (0-1-2).
