NBA: Dallas 125, New Orleans 97

DALLAS, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Antoine Walker scored a season-high 21 points Tuesday as the Dallas Mavericks remained perfect at home with a 125-97 rout of the New Orleans Hornets.

Walker was acquired from the Boston Celtics in a preseason trade. Against New Orleans, he made 9-of-16 shots from the field.

After a 19-9 run gave the Mavericks a 37-23 lead with 31 seconds left in the first quarter, the closest the Hornets got was six points on a jumper by Baron Davis with 10:02 left in the third period.

Dallas broke open the game with a 23-2 spurt. Danny Fortson gave the Mavericks an 89-62 lead on a dunk with 3:23 left in the third.

Davis scored 25 points on 11-of-17 shooting for the Hornets.
