BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- J.P. Vigier, defenseman Ivan Majesky and Randy Robitaille scored on consecutive shots Wednesday night to rally Atlanta to a 7-4 decision over Buffalo.
The Thrashers overcame a two-goal deficit with six straight goals.
After Ilya Kovalchuk netted his league-leading 12th goal 7 1/2 minutes into the game, Maxim Afinogenov and J.P. Dumont gave Buffalo a 2-1 advantage after one period.
Curtis Brown increased the lead early in the second as the Sabres looked to improve to 7
0 when scoring two or more goals.
But Vigier started the unlikely barrage with 4:28 to go and Majesky and Robitaille tallied 27 seconds apart to put Atlanta ahead, 4-3.
Defenseman Yannick Tremblay netted a power-play goal early in the third and Patrik Stefan scored on a penalty shot midway through the period, giving the Thrashers a 6-3 cushion.
