NBA: Atlanta 91, Orlando 83

ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Shareef Abdur-Rahim scored 20 points Wednesday night to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a 91-83 exhibition victory over the Orlando Magic.

Theo Ratliff had 12 points and seven rebounds and Nazr Mohammed added 10 and eight for the Hawks, who played most of their regulars and shot 52 percent from the field.

Dion Glover scored seven of his 11 points in the third quarter, when the Hawks boosted a 43-30 halftime lead to 72-62 entering the final period.

Rookie swingman Boris Diaw, Atlanta's first-round pick, scored just four points but grabbed eight rebounds in 30 minutes. The Hawks held a 46-37 advantage on the glass.

Shammond Williams scored 17 points off the bench and Gordan Giricek and Tyronn Lue added 14 each for the Magic, who shot 37 percent.
