Jackson turned down a three-year, $10 million offer from the Spurs in July before San Antonio moved to replace him by trading for Ron Mercer and Hedo Turkoglu.

"Obviously we are pleased to add Stephen to our team," said General Manager Billy Knight. "He's a proven contributor who was a major contributor to San Antonio's championship team last season, and has the versatility to play both wing positions for us."

Jackson, 25, was the Spurs' third-leading scorer in the playoffs as San Antonio won its second NBA title. He averaged 12.8 points per game in the postseason, including 10.3 in the finals against his former team, the New Jersey Nets.

During the regular season, he averaged 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.3 assists in 80 games, all career highs. Denver and the Los Angeles Clippers also expressed interest in him during the offseason.
